CrossFit is suitable for anybody who wants to try it. Every workout is scalable which means it will be adapted to suit your fitness level and confidence. That’s the beauty of CrossFit…everybody can do the same workouts!
With classes running at various times, 7 days a week there is the chance for everybody to join in.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal
scalability, making it the perfect application for any
committed individual regardless of experience.
Eat meat and vegtables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train all major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J and snatch. Similarly master the basics of gymnastics: Pull ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups,presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five to Six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
I've trained at a few other CrossFit gyms in and around Leeds and was becoming increasingly frustrated at the easy programming and my resulting lack of progression- hence my move to Utopia. The programme is challenging, Sam and Kirk are friendly, knowledgeable and experienced coaches and there's a great community atmosphere. I've seen solid improvements in my fitness, strength and abilities and look forward to every session. I wish I'd made the move sooner!

CrossFit Utopia is a BOX like no other. Coaches Sam and Kirk are extremely dedicated, qualified, knowledgable and motivated to get the best out of each member. The BOX has no pretence or ego's. Members are friendly and encouraging. I love going and every class is different, varied and a challenge.

I started CrossFit 6 months after giving birth. I needed something to get my baby weight off and my fitness back. II've been to many gyms but because I was training on my own I never pushed myself to my limit. With the classes being in groups of 10, everyong helps each other through the workouts and I've made great friends. Not only have I improved my fitness but it has helped me in everyday life. There are many time when I looked at the workout and thought I couldn't do it, and it's such a great feeling when you finish it. Sam and Kirk are great coaches and I'd tell anyone to try it out.
